- Figure 1 – SQual Interface
Purpose:
This interface is primarily for metalforming application, and is used to display surface quality of a stamped part. Often, the final part may have wrinkles or depressions. This surface quality display generates something similar to zebra stripes on the part surface. A bend in a stripe is generally an indication of a change in surface quality.
Controls:
Cos Light – Fringes based on cosine surface normal and light direction
Cos View – Fringes based on cosine surface normal and view direction
X normal component of light direction vector
Y normal component of light direction vector
Z normal component of light direction vector
Black White – Fringes colors in black and white only
Angle – Fringes based on the angle instead of the cosine of the angle
- # of levels: Number of fringe levels (2, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50)
Apply fringe range
- Min: Minimum level for fringe range
- Max: Maximum level for fringe range
Calculate surface quality fringes
