Update version 6.0

  • The Right_Hand_Dummy model has the same coordinate system as the Left_Hand_Dummy model for output. Both base on SAE J211.

 Geometric modifications

  • Half arm is with new mesh and some materials are updated.

  • New half arm has better deformation behavior in shoulder area. In the following a sled test is shown for both versions of WorldSID, focus is on the arm_joint hole

  • Rib x-rotation measurement: discrete elements are used to measure the x-rotation of the ribs

Item Discrete beam-ID Label Available components
Shoulder rib 10081 SHRILE00WSANX x-rotation
1. Thorax rib 10082 TRRILE01WSANX x-rotation
2. Thorax rib 10083 TRRILE02WSANX x-rotation
3. Thorax rib 10084 TRRILE03WSANX x-rotation
1. Abdomen rib 10085 ABRILE01WSANX x-rotation
2. Abdomen rib 10086 ABRILE02WSANX x-rotation

  • Constrained-method for optional thorax-rib damping-mat-nodes: (Since version 5.0 thickness of thorax-rib’s damping material is variable by parameter trd_opt.)

Version 5.0: The optional nodes are constrained by:
*CONSTRAINED_EXTRA_NODES_SET
Version 6.0: The optional nodes are constrained by:
*CONSTRAINED_NODAL_RIGID_BODY
The thickness of thorax-rib’s damping material can be changed after the position of dummy in version 6.0.
Update since version 6.0.1:
SET_NODE (trd_opt_nodes) was defined for extra nodes of optional thickness of thorax rib damping material, in order to hold these extra nodes together with dummy when there is an initial moving for dummy position in pre-processor. This is an update for dummy mechanism.
