LSDYNA Oasys PRIMER

Oasys PRIMER is the pre-processor designed to make preparation and modification of LS-DYNA models as quick and as simple as possible.

With support for every LS-DYNA keyword, you can read and write models with the confidence that no data will be lost or corrupted. The Oasys PRIMER user interface is designed specifically for LS-DYNA – with no compromises – giving you convenient access to a range of powerful pre-processing tools.

Positioning

These JavaScript tools developed by Arup are intended for use in conjunction with the Oasys Primer and LS-DYNA Software. The tools allow for a prediction of the H-Point based on the SAE J826 regulation and seat head restraint assessment following IIHS, NHTSA, EuroNCAP and C-NCAP, respectively.

H-Point Machine (HPM)

The Oasys HPM Positioning Tool provides an interactive environment to set-up and analyse the positioning of the H-Point Machine (HPM) in a seat. Using the Oasys HPM positioning tool gives seat engineers confidence in the H-Point of a new seat design and allows them an opportunity to adjust the design if necessary. This improved understanding of the seat will allow more accurate predictions of whiplash performance and other crash test simulations where dummy positioning is critical.

Head Restraint Measurement Device (HRMD)

The current version of HPM/HRMD is V2.0 and contains the following updates:

Option to position the HPM in a front seat without inputting the accelerator pedal info
Option to simulate the new EuroNCAP Rear Seat drop of the HPM
Output of a Session File at the end of a set up in PRIMER
Output of assessment results in a summary text file
Updated HRMD and HPM model plus additional HPM model without the lower legs
