- Assign nodal initial velocities
- 1. download and unzip the keyword file plate_and_ball.k
- 2. in LS-PrePost, load the keyword file using File → Open → LS-Dyna Keyword
- 3. go to Page 5: IniVel (see Figure 1)
- 4. select
Create - 5. enter Vx=50
- 6. in the bottom panel, select ByElem
- 7. in the bottom panel, activate
Prop - 8. in the bottom panel, set Ang:45.0
- 9. in the graphics window, click on the ball
- 10. click Apply (see Figure 2)
