- Figure 1 – Guide Interface
Purpose:
This interface is primarily intended for creation of guides used in metal forming analysis. Typically the mesh for a guide is built using this interface and a contact definition between the blank edge and the guide is prepared using other facilities in LS-PrePost.
Controls:
Pick – Pick part for Guide- PID: Enter part ID
- EID: Enter starting element ID
Select PartID
Use default new PartID
Set default element starting ID
Call Position Dialog
- X: Input position x value
- Y: Input position y value
- Z: Input position z value
Call Direction Dialog
Set direction x for 1/-1 (click to toggle)
Set direction y for 1/-1 (click to toggle)
Set direction z for 1/-1 (click to toggle)
Click to reverse angle
- Angle: Input angle value
- Increment: Input angle increment to be used with up/down arrow buttons
- Length: Input length value
- Increment: Input length increment to be used with up/down arrow buttons
- Below: Input below value
- Increment: Input below increment to be used with up/down arrow buttons
