This example demonstrate how to perform a Steady State Dynamics analysis using Ansys LS-DYNA software. A Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) is submitted to sine-sweep base acceleration in the frequency range 10 – 200 Hz. Constant modal damping (3 %) is applied.
First, bolt pre-tensioning is applied in a nonlinear quasistatic analysis. Then a modal basis is computed using the keyword *CONTROL_IMPLICIT_EIGENVALUE. Finally the Steady State Dynamics analysis is performed using the keyword *FREQUENCY_DOMAIN_SSD. Other control cards settings are applied by including the pre-defined files of the Guideline for implicit analyses using Ansys LS-DYNA Software.
